[3rd time participating in an event] Hiroshima Comiket exhibition report
This is a report article on our exhibit at Hiroshima Comiket , held on May 5, 2023. This article looks back on our impressions of exhibiting at the event, so if you are interested, please take a look.
1. Impressions of the event
Through this event, I strongly felt that "I want to participate in more events in different prefectures and places!" There are several reasons for this, but the first one is that "there were more people who were interested than I expected."
When I participated in the Artism Market before, I felt that the atmosphere of the event and the worldview of my shop (personally) matched. In fact, on the day of the event, many people said things like, "I saw it on social media and I was interested in it," and "I like this kind of atmosphere."
On the other hand, we were quite worried about the Hiroshima Comiket because we had not yet explored the field. Our store has always been involved in a niche genre, so we were unsure how our participation in this event would turn out.
I was filled with such anxiety on the day, but I was pleasantly surprised. Before the event started, I was worried that no one would be interested, but in fact, many people came to see the items, and many items found new homes. Thank you so much🙇♀️
In addition, I was very happy that several customers praised the atmosphere of the store and followed me on social media. I'm a very simple person, so even a small compliment made me feel like all my hard work melted away. By the way, the thing that surprised me the most at this event was when someone said, "I've seen you before! You always exhibit in the Kanto area, don't you?" When I participate in events, I often meet people for the first time and then they continue to come and see me, so it was a strange feeling to think that they'd seen me before. It motivated me to think that I was able to increase the opportunities for people to learn about Shinatomy, even if it was just a little at a time.
It was a day when I once again made up my mind that even if my store is not popular with everyone, I want to aim to be a store that will strongly appeal to a handful of people. To achieve this, I first thought that I would like to increase the opportunities for people to know about my store by visiting various places myself. Although it will be a little at a time, I will work hard to participate in events in various places.
Thank you so much to everyone who found out about us through Hiroshima Comiket! We look forward to your continued support!
2. Upcoming Schedule
At the moment, our participation is confirmed at the Artism Market Tokyo in October. In addition to this, we are planning to participate in a certain event in June. (Details will be announced once they are confirmed.)
In addition, after participating in Hiroshima Comiket, I have a stronger desire to "go to more places," so I would like to go beyond just Kanto and Kansai. My immediate goal is to "attend events from as far north as Hokkaido to as far south as Okinawa." I am basically a recluse, but I also like traveling. I would like to use traveling around the country while participating in events as an opportunity to broaden my perspective to new places I have never known before.
To that end, we will continue to work even harder as there are still many things we need. We hope you will continue to watch over us with kind eyes.
By the way, September to November is the season that best suits the atmosphere of Shinatomy, so I'm secretly thinking about participating in events at least once a month. Look forward to it!
3. Conclusion
Thank you for reading this far.
This time I looked back on Hiroshima Comiket. I plan to participate in more events in the future, so please look forward to it!
That's all for this time.
