[17th event participation] After Art Market vol.44
This is a report on our exhibition at Art Market Vol. 44 , held on March 16th, 2024 .
This article looks back on my impressions of exhibiting at the event, so if you're interested, please take a look.
1. Impressions of the event
It was fun exhibiting in my hometown of Oita!
The store owner was born and raised in Oita, but has little experience exhibiting at events in the city, so this was virtually his first time.
At this event, I was encouraged with comments like "There aren't any shops with this kind of atmosphere in Oita, so do your best!" and I was able to interact with other artists, which made for a very meaningful time.
Apparently, there used to be stores with a similar worldview to ours (even the owner vaguely remembers them...), but there are hardly any left these days.
My friends who share my tastes have moved outside the prefecture in search of these things, and at one point I even considered moving my base outside the prefecture. However, I also want to do my best in my hometown for a while, in order to solve a problem I had in the past: "It's sad that there are no shops with a similar atmosphere to my hometown."
I don't know how long I can continue this activity, or whether I can maintain my obsession with the human body motif, but I want to continue as long as I can.
2. Purchase Introduction
Here are some of the items we received at this event:
Print illustration by Ririka Mindarika ðŸ§
He creates works that focus on the theme of the human soul, and when I happened to come across this piece I was attracted to it and decided to buy it.
Due to the nature of prints, even if the illustrations look the same, the way they are rubbed off is slightly different, so it was fun deciding which one to choose...!
I personally love chocolate mint, and the illustrations of those are also interesting, so please take a look at the link below 👀
3. Future exhibition plans
Our next event will be Comiket Sendai , held in Miyagi Prefecture on Sunday, March 24th.
