[First time exhibiting at an event] Artism Market Osaka exhibit report
This is a report on our exhibit at Artism Market Osaka, which was held in Osaka on November 23, 2022. This is an article looking back at our first exhibit at the event, and we hope it will be helpful for those who are considering exhibiting in the future.
1.What is Artism Market?
This is one of the events run by ARTiSM, and has the theme of "A place for creative artists to express themselves!" It aims to discover and nurture artists, as well as provide opportunities for artists to connect with each other.
ARTiSM then launched the ARTiSM MARKET, the largest exhibition and sale in the history of the underground .
It is a place where you can experience the works of artists with various personalities, including accessories, illustrations, three-dimensional sculptures, and music that you can't find anywhere else.
It is a place where many works from all over Japan are gathered, mainly in three locations: Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya .
I have also posted an article about my previous participation in the Artism Market, so if you are interested, please take a look.
2. Background to the exhibit
I have written a separate article covering everything from deciding to exhibit to what you need.
If you are a handmade artist or someone who is wondering whether to exhibit, please use this as a reference.
3. After this exhibition
This was my first time selling in person, and I was very happy to see that more people than I expected were interested .
Those who were attracted by the word "human body" and stopped to look at the product Those who were interested in the monochrome color scheme
Those who came to visit after seeing us on Twitter or Instagram Those who like items with skull motifs
We had so many customers that we ended up with very few shop cards left, even though we had brought a lot with us. Thank you very much.
On the other hand, we also found some areas for improvement. Based on the improvements we have made this time, we hope to be able to present a more powerful Shinatomy at the next exhibition. Please look forward to it π¦΄
4. Introduction of the items we received
So although we were exhibitors this time, we also purchased several items from other spaces, which we would like to introduce here.
The first thing we'd like to introduce is the bone marrow cup by ceramic artist Etsu.
I've been interested in this item ever since I saw it on Twitter. It has a slightly Japanese feel, but also has the unique character of bone, making it a fascinating piece. I'm currently considering how I'm going to use it in the future.
Next up is a postcard from Anonymous Witch π¦΄
As usual, I received a bone motif.
Anonymous Witch originally came to my space, and when I saw that postcards with the same design as the T-shirt she was wearing were on sale, I bought one. I wonder why I'm always drawn to bones...
This is a can badge with 0530's eyeball motif. It's palm-sized, so it's a pretty impactful design. The round eyes are sure to catch the attention of others. I'd like to wear it on my bag and show my taste π
And the producer is wonderful too...
Lastly, Nacho's stickers and tattoos π
I fell in love with the tattoo stickers at first sight and bought them immediately. They were all cool and it was hard to choose, but I bought the ones in the picture. They are both cute and cool, so I am drawn to them more and more. I would especially like to use the tattoo stickers in photography.
So that's the list of items I got this time.
We've also posted everyone's SNS accounts, so if you're interested, please take a look!
5. Conclusion
Thank you for reading this far πΎ
It was a day that made me think, "I want to exhibit at the event again!"
We will contact you again regarding future exhibition plans, so please check us out on Twitter or Instagram .
Thank you to everyone who became interested in Shinatomy through this event, everyone who purchased products, all the artists who took part in the event, and the organizers and management staff.
I will continue to look for items with a human body motif.
That's all for this time.
