[Shinatomy 2nd Anniversary] It's been 2 years since we launched our online store
This article is about Shinatomy's 2nd anniversary.
I'm looking back on this past year, so if you're interested, check it out!
1. First
The human body motif specialty store opened on May 1, 2022, and today marks its second anniversary.
Thank you for your continued support and for watching over us through social media.
I couldn't have continued this far on my own, not only with the daily activities but also exhibiting at events and selling new products, and I've only been able to get to this point thanks to all of you who are watching me now.
The process leading up to the original online shopping site opening is candidly described, so if you're interested, be sure to check it out.
In this article, I will look back on my experiences and also share my goals for the future.
2. Looking back on the past year for Shinatomy
Let's start by taking a look back at Shinatomy.
This year's theme was "change."
Specifically, we will exhibit at events around the country and conduct crowdfunding.
Last year, I was clumsy, but I just kept running and the year ended.
Therefore, this year, we have been working with the sole aim of bringing a breath of fresh air into Shinatomy while maintaining the same speed.
Thanks to you, we have now exhibited at over 20 events.
To the north is Miyagi Prefecture,
We were able to exhibit at a wide range of venues, even reaching as far south as our local Oita prefecture.
And then we implemented crowdfunding.
Although the crowdfunding period has ended, rewards have not yet been fulfilled for all backers, so we will post our thoughts on the crowdfunding campaign once the period has ended.
As for collaborations, I have collaborated with many people, including Boo!Do-do, mano mouth, Tenku, and airi maeyama. Thank you very much🙇♀️
And this year there are a lot of handmade items.
🫀Various Organ Rings🫀

A ring that lets you easily wear various organs.
All items are handmade so no two are exactly alike.
We plan to have a large selection at various events, so please come and see them in person 👀 pic.twitter.com/QUaFrcxeoh
None of these works are my own creation, but rather I have created them in collaboration with family members who help me exhibit at events.
Although each piece is different, the colors and shapes vary slightly depending on the tastes of the owner and his family, so please come and find your favorite organ!
3. Difficult things
Just like last year, I was keenly aware of the anxieties that come with running the business on my own.
From here on, I will be writing about the darker parts that I don't usually write about.
I was never mentally strong and was unstable in many ways, but this year I put too much pressure on myself! There were many aspects that made me think that. Even if you try to make a change, it doesn't necessarily mean that the change will come. I ended up prioritizing things that are important in life and things that I don't need to pay attention to. I also had other worries, and at one point I was on the verge of insomnia.
I'm sure my past self realized how important white space is, but before I know it, I'm back to being the same person I was then. It's difficult.
Although there are times like that, I am now able to maintain a balance and continue my activities.
Summer is the owner's least favorite time of the year, so there will probably be a lot of room for maneuver around that time, but we will make up for it by doing our best during other periods, so we appreciate your understanding.
4. Goals for this year
I think we were able to largely achieve our goals from last year, which were to "exhibit at more events to let more people know about us" and "create new original Shinatomy items."
Therefore, this year we will continue to participate in events and also begin to actively expand overseas.
A friend who lives overseas has been helping us out with test shipments overseas for the online shopping site, and we have been continuing our preparations ever since.
There are still many difficulties in making this happen in order to accommodate a large number of customers, and to be honest, I can't predict when it will actually be implemented. However, I hope to start it within this year.
I think that will change the way we see things, and I have a feeling that things will get even more interesting.
Please look forward to it🫀
5. Conclusion
Thank you for reading this far.
It has been two years since Shinatomy opened. Despite some twists and turns, we have been able to safely reach this day again this year.
We hope you will continue to watch over us.
