[Summary of 2023] Looking back on Shinatomy
Today, along with this month's Shinatomy, I would like to give a summary of the year.
Please take a look🦴
1. About this month's Shinatomy
This month, for the first time, we exhibited at three events.
I was also able to hold a face-to-face sale in Fukuoka, something I had always wanted to do, and it was a month in which I was able to meet more people than ever before.
Additionally, this month we announced that we will be conducting a crowdfunding campaign, so it has been a very busy month.
*The crowdfunding campaign will begin after the New Year as it overlaps with the New Year holidays.
If you like, we would appreciate it if you could look forward to further updates through various social media platforms.

2. Summary of the year
A year has passed since I posted last year, and looking back at what has happened so far, I think it can be expressed as "change."
I was never keen on face-to-face interactions to begin with, so I never expected to end up exhibiting at events around 10 times this year alone.
In May, which marked Shinatomy's first anniversary, we announced our first collaboration.
In addition to selected items, we have also started to increase the number of original, handmade items.
Although I had always been interested in it, I never had the courage to try it. I was determined to give it a try! This year I took action.
Of course, not everything has gone well, and the things that have failed or that I am not satisfied with have been quietly shelved and never shown to the public.
Still, I feel like there is at least a little more to see and do than last year. I hope that's the case.
The works have the human body, organs, and medical motifs. There is still a lot I don't know, so my goal for next year is to continue to learn more.
I've also put together a different summary on Instagram, so if you're interested, please check it out.
3. About me
I feel like this year was a very fulfilling one. I regret that I wasn't able to write a proper article about it, but it was great to be able to experience wonderful shops and art in places other than Japan, such as England and Korea.
In addition, because I traveled all over Kyushu and Tohoku to exhibit at events, and also because I often traveled back and forth between my local area and other prefectures, the number of things I saw increased by orders of magnitude.
By the way, the place I stayed the most this year was Ehime Prefecture, where my family lives! I had no idea there was such a unique bakery there... What a fun place...
It's not like I'll be able to do more things or gain more experience right away, but it's made me realize once again that there are so many things I don't know even within Japan, so I feel like I need to be able to move around for a little longer.
4. Future Outlook
Our immediate goal is to launch a crowdfunding campaign early in the new year and complete the project successfully.
Other than that, we will continue to exhibit at various events.
In particular, since this will be my first time exhibiting at Design Festa in May, I'm struggling with how to create the booth and the world view. Should I go for black only, sprinkle illustrations of organs, or do something different... I'll do my best with the hope that it will touch as many people as possible.
And although it's unclear whether it will happen next year, I would like to exhibit overseas as well. To that end, I would like to start by making it possible to ship overseas...! I will continue to update the site, so please continue to support me.
5. Conclusion
Thank you very much for your continued support in 2023.
Thanks to you, I was able to improve my level from last year.
In 2024, we will continue to work hard to move forward, rather than maintaining the status quo, so we appreciate your continued support.
I hope you all have a great New Year's holiday🦋
That's all for this time.
